Paradise Lost in Second Life
We’re now well into developing Act 3, where we find Adam and Eve in their post-Eden hovel. Cold, exposed, and living in deplorable conditions, Adam and Eve are bitter having lost their Paradise and now forced to live in the inhospitable wilderness.
Adam blames Eve for their circumstances, and Eve threatens to end their partnership. Soon, however, they reconcile. With their union intact, Adam is now ready to learn the what’s in store for the near future of the human race. Michael arrives on Earth, and leads Adam to a mountaintop whilst Eve sleeps.
We have now completed sets for eleven out of fourteen scenes, including:
- Introitus: Requiem
- Kyrie Eleison
- Dies Irae
- Tuba Mirum
- Rex Tremendae
- Domine Jesu
We are releasing our fourth trailer on YouTube today! The fourth trailer, sure to be a crowd favourite, features Satan falling from Heaven, landing in Hell, and being made King of Hell by his followers. This trailer follows the action depicted in Trailer 3, Trailer 2 and Trailer 1.

The Romeo + Juliet in Second Life Experience
The future of Romeo + Juliet in Second Life has been secured until June 2014 with a generous grant from the Linden Endowment for the Arts (LEA). The Basilique Performing Arts Company has been selected for the LEA’s Round 6 of their Artists-in-Residence program. We were selected among 40+ proposals to receive a full sim to create an interactive exhibit dedicated to the story of Romeo + Juliet. The exhibit is targeted to open in phrases, with the first phase opening in March. Read more…
And last, but definitely not least – Bamboo Barnes shoots Basilique
We were fortunate to be visited by talented photographer Bamboo Barnes who took this absolutely stunning picture of the Superficie del campeggio Island in winter. I’ll be featuring this little island and its many delights in a future blog post. For now, enjoy the image and feel free to visit us today.
