Here is the latest round-up for news coming from Basilique and the Basilique Playhouse:

Paradise Lost in Second Life

Trailers: Our second trailer now has over 200 views! Have you seen it? If not, here it is:

Our first trailer now has over 530 views. Here it is if you’ve missed it:

Make sure to watch the trailers at 1080HD (use the little gear in the bottom left hand corner to tune your resolution), full screen with the sound on.

A third trailer is coming soon and will feature scenes from our most recently completed movements – watch this space.

Production notes: We have now completed five out of fourteen scenes, including Kyrie EliesonDies Irae, Tuba Mirum, Recordare, and with last night’s wrap, Confutatis. I realise these names may mean little to you now, so I’ll be breaking down the scenes in the next couple of weeks. We have also built the avis and costumes for two more characters: The Son of God and Archangel Michael. We’re thrilled with the results and will be unveiling a few sneak peaks of these two hunky dudes in the next couple of weeks.

Ihoho, the baby Mountain Gorilla. This week marked the birthday of the late Dian Fossey, which Google celebrated with their Google doodle. It’s lovely to see Dian still generating attention for the plight of the mountain gorillas that we are supporting through Paradise Lost in Second Life.

Sponsorship remains available on a per-performance basis. We now have four performances sponsored. There are still very juicy dates available in the Premier Season, so if you’ve noodled about associating your brand with top quality Second Life performing arts, or just want to give to Ihoho’s adoption, then contact me to find out how you can help.

Casting Call: We are calling all would-be actors to apply for one of 6 remaining roles in Paradise Lost. See this post for more details on what is required, what is provided, and how to apply.

Did you know we had games available at the Modern Bar? We’ve recently acquired a terrific game called Cards Against Humanity and a billiard table where you can play pool. Both are open to the public so feel free to stop by the Modern when you get a chance.
