A private concert with Seth Regan / Mankind Tracer!

I’ve been a big fan of SL/RL musician and Second Life’s most widely recognized rock performer Seth Regan/Mankind Tracer. I try to make it out to as many shows when I can, but being as busy as I am, it’s not as often as I’d like.

I have mentioned my keen interest in this artist on this blog since I first attended his iTunes CD Release party in April 2012 for “Underground” (that’s me, front and centre, in the jean cut-offs and green top, standing next to his manager Brandy Maltas… hmm… those must have been warmer days!):

And here is Purdie and I at one of his performances at the Rose Theatre (I’m the one near the front, wearing the brown dress… and yes, I am always in front!):

I’ve seen Seth about a half a dozen times since and his shows are always packed solid, so I have never imagined that he’d come and visit me for a private concert!

Well, just yesterday for Valentine’s Day, Harvey surprised me with a 30-minute private concert and here are some of the pictures:

Needless to say, it was a wonderful 30-minute performance and an unforgettable experience which I won’t soon forget!

Seth Regan’s song “Underground” selected to appear in HBO’s True Detective

In case you’re a fan, you might know that Seth has had a bit good and bad news recently.

The good news is that the title song of his last album “Underground” has been chosen to a appear in a new HBO television show called “True Detective”. This is obviously fantastic news and could be a huge break for him, especially since he’s wanted to record music for movies and television for a very long time.

The bad news is that Seth suffered an unfortunate and serious back injury about 4 weeks ago, which has interrupted his ability to promote his Indiegogo Campaign aimed at raising funds to launch his next album “Left of Centre”. Fortunately, Seth managed to get back in front of the microphone for Harvey and I, and this was first show in four weeks!

But here is even cooler news, did you know you could also enjoy this experience? As part of Seth’s Indiegogo campaign, he is offering private concerts and other goodies against contributions to his Indiegogo campaign. The money raised will go towards studio time, equipment, post production, producing, engineering, mixing, mastering, graphics and artwork, t-shirt printing and manufacturing.

If you enjoy rock music, want to support the live SL music scene, or just need a great idea for a private treat for you and your friends, or for your group, please give some serious thought to helping Seth reach his goal. As I write this, there are 17 days left to help him out, and he has already raised $2,615 of his $8,000 goal. Here is Seth talking about his aims and how he needs your help:
