I’ve seen Seth Regan / Mankind Tracer’s name a lot in the past few days, which is probably how I got linked up with his manager Brandy Maltas on Facebook and her blog. Today, quite serendipitously, Brandy shared the following note to introduce Seth’s song “Paper Cup”:
“Sometimes you argue with someone you love dearly and during the fight you forget how important that person is to you and how you could never do with out them in your life. Then you walk away and calm down and realize that you will love them no matter what but instead of leaning on each other during a rough time and being there for each other, you let the stress get to you both and it turned into an argument but when you calm down all you want them to know is that you will be there for them, no matter what.”
Again, I am reminded of the power of music to speak to your innermost feelings at precisely the right moment in time. This song could not have come at a better moment for me, Brandy. There is a buddhist proverb that says “when the student is ready, the teacher appears” and I think it describes this moment appropriately. Thanks to you, and Seth, for helping to lift my spirits today, with this true song from the coalface.
