We have less than two weeks to go until our Grand Opening, and we’re officially into Stage 3 of our plan to launch the new Club (Stage 1 was planning, Stage 2 was building, Stage 3 is finishing, and Stage 4 is opening). It’s been a fantastic team effort, and the results to date are beyond our wildest expectations.
We literally cannot wait until March 23rd. And how about this for some cosmic synchronisation: March 23 is exactly one month to the day, (one lunar cycle) after leaving our last Club. And as coincidence would have it, our opening date just happens to fall on the Gudi Padwa. Gudi what, you ask? Gudi Padwa is celebrated on the first day of the Chaitra month to mark the beginning of the New Year according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar. So we’re opening an Indian themed Club on a Hindu New Year! A good omen? We’ll take it!
Together with our tirelessly dedicated and growing team, we have already accomplished so much in the 140 collective hours of work so far. We estimated that the whole project (from idea to launch) would take 300 hours to complete, so we’re almost half way there. Along the way we’ve made at least 1000 decisions! We’re confident though, that we’ll be able to finish what we’ve started in time.
But wait, there’s more! As the days have gone by and my friends have checked in on me, I can’t help but noticing that I’m responding with an enthusiastic “Fantastic” or “Awesome” or “Great” when they ask how my day is going. Gone is the “Fine”, the “Ok”, and the “Not bad”!
This has literally be the most funI’ve had in Second Life – bar none. There is actually nothing quite like stepping out on a limb and creating something completely new. Everyday a new challenge. Everyday a new discovery. Everyday I go to bed happy. And, everyday we get closer to a marvellous night for a moondance…
